ABIC 2013

A Call for Proposals has been issued and the ABIC Foundation will receive inquiries for ABIC 2013, scheduled to be held in the USA / Canada / Mexico region.

Proposals must be received by March 15, 2010. The submissions will be reviewed by the ABIC Foundation Board of Directors. The Foundation Board will announce the successful bid in the fall of 2010.

2013 Bid Site Criteria
For the Proposal to Host ABIC 2013, a letter addressed to the ABIC Foundation referencing the items below is required to complete your submission.

A list of members for the Executive, Steering and Speaker Committees including the members company/organization name.
 

The name of the lead / host organization including their designated conference chair. The lead organization must be an agriculture related company or agency, and have 50,000 Euro committed as start up funds for their use.
 

A letter of commitment from the lead organization.
 

A pro forma budget.
 

A plan for a pre-conference biotech tour of the area.
 

Assurance that there are the appropriate number of hotel guest rooms to accommodate conference attendees. These rooms must be within a short walking distance and be available two days pre and post conference.
 

A commitment from the hotel(s) regarding a price range for guest rooms which will match or be lower than tour/corporate or holiday rates in effect at that time.
 

A check must be completed that other agricultural biotechnology conferences will not conflict with ABIC's chosen date.
 

Firm date established for conference and tentative booking at venue.
 

The name of recommended individual/organization that will be handling local arrangements with profile and references.
 

Active participation by local institutes/organizations at previous ABICs as sponsors/ exhibitors/delegates.
