Who is AusBiotech?
AusBiotech is the Host Body for the Agricultural Biosciences International Conference (ABIC) 2015.
AusBiotech is Australia's biotechnology industry organisation working on behalf of over 3,000 members in the areas of human health, medical devices, food technology, agriculture, environmental and industrial biotechnology, for more than 25 years.
AusEvents is the events management division of AusBiotech Ltd, launched to provide more value for its members.
What is ABIC 2015?
The ABIC conference, held annually is the premier global meeting which promotes innovation in bioscience to ensure sustainable food, feed, fibre and fuel security as the climate changes.
By connecting people, ABIC gathers not only the common answers but also the different approaches each participant is taking to address the common challenge. Capacity is built at a new level, generating answers only possible when people bring their unique skills and expertise to the same table.

When is ABIC 2015?
This conference runs officially from Monday 7 September - Wednesday 9 September 2015.
Where will conference sessions be held?
All conference sessions are held at the Melbourne Convention Centre (also referred to as MCC).
Where will the conference dinner be held?
The conference dinner venue is yet to be decided. Conference Registrations do not include the Conference Dinner, dinner tickets can be purchased for $165 during the registration process or after at a seperate time by contacting the Registrations Department.
How much will the 2015 conference cost?

What's included in my conference registration fee?
Full access to the BioIndustry Exhibition Hall and morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas are included in the registration fee as per program schedule as well as daily conference sessions with informative and entertaining speakers. Access to the opening and closing networking events are included. Full conference registrations include access to the Business Matching Program and must be selected during the resgistration process.
What is the dress code for the conference?
During the conference days, business attire is preferred. The minimum dress standard for the Welcome Reception and the Conference Dinner is business attire or cocktail.
What is the climate like at the time of the conference?

Season: Melbourne has a reputation for its changeable weather. A tip for any visitor is to be prepared for anything – take an umbrella and wear layers that can be worn or removed as needed.
Can I bring extra guests to social events?
Additional tickets can be purchased for the ABIC 2015 Conference Dinner, Tuesday 8 September 2015. You can purchase extra tickets during the registration process or contact the registration manager. Tickets to the Welcome Reception are available only to full conference registrants, speakers and exhibitors as confirmed at point of registration.

Are hotel transfers available?
AusBiotech negotiate conference rates for local hotels are within close proximity to the convention centre. All hotels and rates will be listed on our wesbite, rates are provided by an accomodation partner therefore transfers to and from the hotels to the convention centre will not be provided.
Is my company able to book an exhibition space?
Yes, we invite you to exhibit your product or service in the conference Exhibition Hall. The ABIC 2015 exhibition will be situated where the refreshment breaks will be held, next to the Business Matching meetings rooms. Invitation Letter for Visa Application
Delegates must have registered and paid the required registration fees before requesting an official letter of invitation. All requests should be sent by email to the Registrations Department on email@example.com. Please note that the ABIC 2015 conference will not be able to contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office on behalf of a delegate.
Is AusBiotech Membership required to attend the conference?
No, but we would encourage you to become a member. If you should join AusBiotech within 30 days of the conference, the difference in registration fees will be refunded to you - after the conference is concluded. (This offer is valid for ABIC 2015 conference delegate fees only and does not apply retrospectively to sponsorship or exhibition packages). Why not become an AusBiotech Member and enjoy membership prices to the conference, as well as the opportunity to take future exhibition and sponsorship packages at reduced rates, along with the many other benefits that membership brings.

When do early bird rates end?
Early bird registration closes at midnight on Friday 29 May 2015, after which time the standard rate will apply.
When is the cut-off date for registrations?
Whilst we do prefer registrations to be in prior to Monday 7 October 2015, you can register on the day of the conference at the Registration Desk, onsite at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
What is the cancellation policy?
All cancellation requests must be made in writing to AusBiotech at email@example.com
1. Cancellations made before Friday 29 May 2015 will receive a refund, less a $250 administration fee. 2. Cancellations made after 29 May 2015, will not receive a refund. 3. No refunds will be issued until after the conference. 4. Substituting names will be accepted only prior to the conference. Registration is valid for the named attendee only. Transferring of registration during the conference is prohibited and security personnel will be checking every registration on entry/exhit to the venue. Substituting a delegate from the same organisation is welcome as long as AusBiotech is notified by email firstname.lastname@example.org by FRiday 21 August 2015.
