ABIC 2015 Student Poster Awards
Supported by La Trobe University
ABIC 2015 will feature a student poster display in the main exhibition hall for the duration of the conference supported by La Trobe University. We invite graduate and postgraduate students to submit an abstract via the online portal, abstracts will be reviewed by a panel and shortlisted abstracts will be chosen to be included in the poster display at the conference. Please note, although supported by La Trobe University this program is open to all students.

Posters will be divided into three key areas:
Making the impossible possible
Plant biotechnology, environmental conditions, crop protection products, sustainable farming systems
Genomes meets Biomes
Interactions between animal, plant and microbial biomes
Making it work in the real world
New generation technologies and products entering the market, regulation and policy, communication, investment
Other agriculturial research
Abstract submissions are now open and will close on Friday 7 August 2015 at 5.00pm EST. Finalists will be selected the week commencing Monday 10 August 2015 and must be available to present their poster for the duration of the conference, 7-9 September 2015. Posters will be viewed by a panel during the lunch breaks at the conference.
Successful applicants will receive:
- A complimentary student registration to ABIC 2015, registration allows individuals to attend all conference sessions, business matching and catered networking breaks. Student musts be willing to cover their own costs for travel and accommodation in Melbourne.
- The winner will be announced at the ABIC 2015 Closing Reception, on Wednesday 9 September
- Receive the ABIC 2015 & La Trobe University student award.

Once your abstract has been confirmed as sucessful we will provide you with a link to register for the conference at a reduced rate.
Abstract submission timeline
Friday 7 August: Abstracts must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org before Friday 7 August 2015 at 5.00pm (EST).
Monday 10 August: Abstracts will be reviewed by the poster display committee and students will be notified if there abstract has been successful in progressing to the poster display at the ABIC 2015 Conference. Students must register for the conference within one week. AusBiotech to provide a special link to access the student poster rate of $150.
Monday 7 – Wednesday 9 September: Successful applicants to display poster and present to a panel of judges during the ABIC 2015 Conference.
