What initially sparked your interest in the life science industry?

Working with Indigenous communities in South Africa and having a vision of creating more opportunities for economic development in rural communities. 


Which leader in life science do you most look up to? 

Dr. Jaleh Daie, who early on in her career as an academic in the plant sciences saw the need to bridge the gap in the innovation chasm.


What advice do you have for anyone pursuing a career in life science? 

Join the global movement towards developing this sector.


What do you do in your spare time? 

I love trekking, cycling, running, gardening, reading and spending time with my family. 

What's your favourite Canadian dish? 

BC Salmon.

What do you most value in your friends? 

Passion and commitment to community initiatives.

Which talent/superpower would you most like to have?

Playing a musical instrument.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Mentoring students.

Desmond Tutu.

Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Gandhi.
