Lunch Keynote - Ending Hunger is Within Our Grasp

Speaker:

Today the world is richer and healthier than the status quo from only a few decades ago. Since 1990, hunger and poverty have decreased while agricultural production has doubled. Major strides have been taken to support feeding 9 billion people. Is ending hunger now within our reach?

Unfortunately, there are many issues we face before the goal of eradicating world hunger and poverty can be achieved. What can we do to maintain our momentum in the fight against malnutrition? We'll take a look at how research and development, the power of the private sector, innovations in investment and finance, and strong leadership by policymakers can pave a path towards a well-fed world.
