James Humphris was raised on the family farm in South Australia, and obtained a Bachelor degree in Agricultural Business from the University of Adelaide. He majored in Marketing and International Business, and after graduating in 1996 from Roseworthy College, went on to work in various agricultural roles ranging from research with the Victorian Department of Primary Industries, agronomy, and sales.

For the past 13 years, James has worked within the Bayer organisation, which has included seed production agronomy, Global Steward Manager for Oilseeds and Wheat to help further drive the culture of best practices within the organisation, which included adoption of Excellence Through Stewardship initiative. 

In his most recent role manager of Oilseed Traits in Canada which involves demonstrating how new innovative traits (GM or Non GM) add value to growers and ultimately the end consumer. James continues to have a passion for agriculture and how new innovations are helping to shape farming today and into the future.
