Dr. Lisette Mascarenhas is currently Director of Research and Development, Saskatchewan Pulse Growers.

During her more than 22 years within the bioscience community, Dr. Mascarenhas has demonstrated experience in the translation of research discoveries into tangible products and services. Lisette completed a PhD in 1999 and a Masters of Business Administration in 2004 at the University of Saskatchewan. Following the completion of her MBA, she managed a multidisciplinary, multi-million dollar Genome Canada project focused on the development and clinical implementation of diagnostic tools for organ transplant patients. In 2006 she joined Ag-West Bio Inc. as Vice President of Investments and Health, where her primary goal was to manage its investment portfolio and assist early-stage life science companies in generating profit. In 2009, she joined Springboard West Innovations Inc. as a Senior Innovation Officer, where she applied her significant expertise to enable life science companies to turn technology ideas into commercial realities through mentorship, path finding, prototype development, attracting investments, and growth management.
