Plenary Session: Nutrigenomics / Nutrigenetics - How our DNA will Shape our Diets in the Future


Nutrigenetic companies are masters at marketing innovative food concepts. Recently, some of these companies have switched their focus toward personalized nutrition and genetic architecture. 

Questions arise about the practices used to bring nutrition and genetics to market. Companies in this space are ahead of the curve with regards to their research and innovation, but are their claims sufficiently evidence-based?

Consumers have their eyes, ears and wallets open, keen on experiencing the benefits of personalized nutrition and health. How can we ensure careful and deliberate steps are taken in the development of processes to ensure these companies are following scientifically sound principles?
